The Connecting Communities program at Atypical Farm brings participants together to develop entrepreneurial skills while embracing traditional farming values. Through hands-on projects in vegetable gardening, egg production, and craftsmanship, participants gain practical experience that enhances their independence. Their work contributes to our monthly onsite markets, where they sell handmade and homegrown products, fostering confidence and community engagement. The program also includes cooking sessions, using fresh local produce to create meals for community members, reinforcing the connection between farm, food, and people.
Atypical Solutions offers interactive Auslan learning for children, adults, and community groups. Our structured curriculum covers essential vocabulary, grammar, and cultural aspects, with experienced instructors creating an inclusive learning environment. Sessions include hands on activities, role plays and real life practice to build practical communication skills. We also customise programs for schools, workplaces, and organisations to meet specific needs and goals.
Our Support Coordination service helps individuals navigate the disability support system with personalised, person-centred assistance. We connect you with the right services, focusing on your goals, preferences, and overall well-being. Our holistic approach includes support for healthcare, employment, housing, and social participation. We are also committed to accessibility, ensuring effective communication for those who are deaf or use alternative communication methods.
Our play and Occupational Therapy programs support children and adults in developing essential life skills through creative, hands-on activities. Play therapy fosters emotional expression, social skills, and confidence, while occupational therapy enhances independence, motor skills, and daily living abilities. Set in a natural farm environment, our sessions are tailored to individual needs, promoting growth, well-being, and engagement in meaningful activities.
Our deaf inclusion group connects the deaf and hearing communities through accessible monthly events across the Mornington Peninsula and South East suburbs. Activities include hiking, archery, markets, winery tours, and camping—open to all, regardless of Auslan fluency.
Led by Tara (CODA) and local deaf community members, we handle planning, tickets, and interpreters so you can focus on fun.
Participants help shape each adventure, ensuring inclusive and meaningful experiences.
