From the founder

As a mother of two children with additional needs and grandchild of Deaf adults, our director brings an unparalleled blend of lived experience and professional expertise to her role as founder of Atypical Solutions. 

Her unique journey has shaped a vision where inclusive support transcends traditional boundaries, making genuine connection and understanding accessible across all environments.

With extensive experience supporting children with Autism and complex communication needs, Her approach integrates Auslan education and inclusive practices that celebrate diverse communication styles. Her work as a passionate Deaf community advocate has strengthened her commitment to creating spaces where everyone feels understood and valued.

Her distinguished career spans transformative work with youth and young adults facing complex challenges, including those involved with the justice system and mental health services. Her comprehensive behavior support training from Rod Caterall and CQL certification has deepened her understanding that all behavior is communication, informing her holistic approach to assessment and support.

Throughout her professional evolution - from support worker to Team Leader at Casey Kidz Klub and Complex Youth Services, to Support Coordinator, Specialist Support Coordinator, and Support Services Practice Leader - she has refined her ability to identify genuine goals and aspirations, creating support plans that unlock individual potential.

Today, as the driving force behind Atypical Solutions, she leads with a vision that extends beyond traditional disability support and a commitment to breaking down communication barriers and fostering genuine connections.  Her innovative approach combines inclusive programming, nature-based learning, and complex communication support to create environments where everyone can thrive.
